July 2023: Christian Carlson & Christie Scheele

For July, Museo welcomed Christian Carlson and, in her first show at Museo, Christie Scheele. Christian is a painter from Skagit Valley and the co-owner of Perry & Carlson Gallery in Mt. Vernon, which is also one of our favorite galleries. Christie lives and works in upstate New York and is an artist that we had followed for years before we happened to meet her, by chance, on our travels. We were amazed how her landscapes felt very local even though they are miles away. Each artist approaches their depiction of the natural world in a different way, but both capture beauty in stillness.
