July 2026: Poetics of Space

Poetics of Space, brings together artists Michael Dickter, Susan Melrath and Karen Abel to explore how memory, landscape and home intersect in a deeply personal world where physical places and inner thoughts blur together.

Dickter’s beautifully painted birds reflect both his reverence for the physical landscape and his sense of wonder at the impermanence of the natural world. Melrath’s paintings of houses and barns evoke cherished places and childhood memories, while Abel’s ceramic structures are also inspired by her daily experiences in a landscape she loves. Through paint and clay, these three artists create a poetic space that offers viewers a moving reflection on the places that shape us and the stories we carry forward.
