For the first two weeks only, come immerse yourself in Robert Jessup’s huge abstract painting, be swept away with Jite Agbro’s mixed media figurative pieces, float on Susan Burger’s charcoal and pastel cloud meditations, and study Kim Simonelli’s compelling steel sculptures.

And just as quick, in the middle of the month we will be showing works that celebrate trees, with pieces by Quincy Anderson, Skip Smith, Melissa Koch, Elizabeth Bruno, and others.

MICHAEL DICKTER, KATHE FRAGA, ROBIN & JOHN GUMAELIUS

MICHAEL DICKTER, KATHE FRAGA,

ROBIN & JOHN GUMAELIUS

Michael Dickter’s current work includes brightly colored birds flying in swooping patterns, as well as boats and clouds floating in their own world. The themes of inclusion, connection and isolation resonate with today’s world. (Artist Gallery)

Kathe Fraga’s paintings are inspired by the romance of vintage Chinoiseries layered with pattern, botanicals, color and hidden motifs.  Worn surfaces and distressed textures combine to create a sense of something soft, lovely and familiar, yet modern and unexpected. (Artist Gallery)

Robin and John Gumaelius present their delightful ceramic and metal sculptures. These highly inventive works are an imaginative blend of human and animal imagery with elements of children’s stories, religious icons and Medieval and Renaissance references. (Artist Gallery)

This show opens Saturday, July 4th.  There will not be a reception this month, but Museo is open Wednesday through Monday.  We are always available by appointment for a private viewing.

JITE AGBRO & MELISSA KOCH

JITE AGBRO & MELISSA KOCH

Museo is welcoming in the light of summer, health and healing, and the reopening of worlds, by presenting the work of two amazing artists: Jite Agbro and Melissa Koch.

In her second show at Museo, Jite’s Nigerian-American heritage guides and influences her work, with color and texture. She draws direct inspiration from the human form as silhouettes predominate her rich bright wall hangings.

Melissa Koch’s love of the natural world, its innate beauty and wisdom, and its ability to transform has found diverse expressions in her engaging and colorful mixed media artworks.

Also featured will be one-of-a-kind work of birds and woodland creatures by wood carver Dona Dalton.

Our June show opens Saturday, June 6th.  We are so sorry to announce that, for obvious reasons, there will not be an opening this month.  We welcome small group reservations, after business hours, for an intimate viewing of the work.  More information about this will be coming soon, or please give us a call for details and arrangements.

Current hours are Thursday – Monday 11-5.
