Artist Statement
My paintings are rooted in the experience of quiet places. I am drawn to the subtle changes in light, the space between forms and the moments where landscape becomes an atmosphere rather than a defined scene. These impressions guide my work more than any literal reference.
Through slow layering and careful shifts of tone and texture, I build surfaces that evolve over time. I work toward a sense of stillness, creating compositions that feel open and contemplative. My intention is to offer viewers a moment of pause, a place where memory and emotion can surface gently. Each painting is an exploration of what remains after detail falls away.
